Wednesday I was honored to hear I was a recipient of the Illinois State Crime Commission “Salute To Those Who Make a Difference” 2018 Award. The Illinois State Crime Commission/Police Athletic League of Illinois group annually recognizes Illinois’ best individual leaders and champions from government and industry who have distinguished themselves through their outstanding contributions to communities throughout Illinois.
It states “Your impressive work on the Naperville City Council working for families, lower taxes, expanded city and social services, and supporting law enforcement is indeed impressive.” The group will present the 2018 Award Excellence in Municipal Government at its 22nd annual “Salute to Those Who Make a Difference” Awards Dinner on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, in Oak Brook Terrace.
The Illinois State Crime Commission/Police Athletic League of Illinois is a non-profit organization committed to combating public corruption and strengthening the criminal justice system in the State of Illinois.
This is truly humbling and emotional as I lost my cousin a Chicago police officer which still weighs heavy on my heart.
Thank you Director Prueter & Executive Director Elsner and Robert Schillerstrom, Dupage County Chairman (past), James Healy, County Board member and all who shared in the moment with me.
