Last August I received a call at City Hall of a group of young ladies seeking a community problem that could be solved through science.
We scheduled a conference call where the young ladies posed numerous questions about Naperville, some of the challenges I saw, if it related to a scientific solution or analysis. At that time we had received information about the EPA mandatory phosphorus reduction from the City’s system. The girls worked with the City and Park District staff. They initiated their hypothesis and conclusions. In conclusion there is a need for further research, change in criteria and beneficial outcomes.
Good work ladies!!
